JB and the Pirates is an adventurous story that will keep kids focused on wanting to find out what happens next. What IS behind the wall in the art room closet? What problems do pirates from the 1700s cause when they run into two 4th grade boys determined to send them back to their own time and place? Read it and find a whole new world of adventure!-- Jean BurnsThe following are also reviews from readers of the books who do not have a computer:I liked the part in the book about the Amish lady hitting the pirate with the rolling pin! That was so funny! Joshua age 12 That Amish lady could really swing a rolling pin! I liked the excitement. Alex age 7 I enjoyed the adults interacting with the children. The story kept me interested and wondering what would happen next! The last chapter....what will happen to that little boy on the pirate ship? Will the boys return to rescue him? Betty This book would make a good movie. I loved how the illustrations on the front make sense after you've read the story. Wonderful book! Mrs. Dimon

Delightful Read! Reminiscent of childhood series books, long since neglected. Lovely to pursue the adventures of eventful characters tumbling in and out of surprising and challenging circumstances. Reader is constantly compelled to read one more page to discover new developments. The end of the book makes one eager to learn of the escapades the adventurous boys will find themselves in throughout book two of the series. A particular advantage to series books is that one becomes well acquainted with the characters and one gets to know them well, a bit like members of a family.
