In this well-written back-to-basics look at the spiritual makeup, and purpose, of man, Michele Doucette deals, head-on, with the great philosophical questions that have continued to plague humanity from the beginning of their existence on this planet. After laying out the basics, she takes each question and explores it with genuine care for her readers; her stated purpose being to empower, motivate and inspire others to live happier (more fulfilled) lives. There exists a secret in this vast universe of ours: if you can change the way you perceive any given situation, then each context, thereafter, will have changed. In essence, if you can change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change. In reminding us that thought is all powerful, that thought is creation, so, too, must we awaken to the importance of entertaining positive and uplifting thoughts for our own health and well-being. Drawing from both the wisdom of the ages, as well as views held by the great sages throughout history, she attempts to help others connect with eternal Source. Through extensive research, including her own analytical prowess, and wisdom, this author describes, and deciphers, what it takes to know thyself, a most essential goal. The intent of this book is four-fold; [1] to relieve the reader of worry, stress, fear and guilt, [2] to show the reader how to both embrace positive energy and reject negative energy, [3] to delve within oneself, thereby living metaphysical principles, and [4] to transform one’s inner world through spiritual metamorphosis.

Michele Doucette holds a Master's Degree in Literacy Education from Mount Saint Vincent University (Halifax, Nova Scotia). A native of Truro, Nova Scotia, she has been living on the west coast of Newfoundland since 1985. She credits Nick Bunick, subject of The Messengers: A True Story of Angelic Presence and the Return to the Age of Miracles, for leading her into the adventurous realms of the metaphysical unknown. As a result, she has been managing the website, Portals of Spirit, since the dawn of the millennium.

Once again, author Michele Doucettte has gifted us with a new book containing a wealth of information on spirituality, expressed in a clear and easy to read style. Metaphysics, the study of the true nature of reality, has been described by Aristotle as the understanding of the spiritual forces behind physicality. All the deepest questions asked by humanity are asked here: Who am I? Where do I come from? Why am I here, What is my purpose for being here? Where will I go after I die?The author draws on many ideas and writings to provide in-depth answers to these questions. Much spiritual wisdom is shared by her and a plethora of resources, both in books and websites, provide further sources of investigation to the spiritual seeker. I highly recommend this rich and inspiring read from the well-regarded spiritual teacher, Michele Doucette.

"There exists a secret in this vast universe of ours: if you can change the way you perceive any given situation, then each context, thereafter, will have changed. In essence, if you can change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change."This is just one of the many gems from gifted author Michele Doucette presented in "A Metaphysics Primer: Changing From the Inside Out", her most comprehensive book to date. In answering some of life's most universal questions, she skillfully introduces us to knowledge of the metaphysical world (as studied from some of the most dynamic minds of the day, including her own experiences). A primer filled with affirmations and truths, I have finally located someone who can bring tangibility to the concept of thought and how it shapes my life. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, this is a book that continues to help me think about my own understanding of the metaphysical world and how it can be applied, in my daily practice, with thoughts that serve to illuminate the next grand signpost on my own journey down the path of life.Mariel Barney Hunkeler

With sections that are meant to be read over again, so that the shared lessons can be absorbed and assimilated, this book is a must read. Through extensive research, including her own analytical prowess, and wisdom, Michele describes, and deciphers, what it takes to know thyself, the essential goal that we all strive towards. She invites the reader to go to their core to find peace, for within that sought after peace lies all pertinent answers. In reminding us that thought is all powerful, that thought is creation, so, too, must we awaken to the importance of entertaining positive and uplifting thoughts for our own health and well-being. In conclusion, I can only add that this is a most inspiring tome.
